STCW – Update
On the 1st January 2017, one of the most significant amendments to the STCW Convention, the Manila Amendments (STCW 2010) comes into force. It is the requirements for all seafarers to update some elements of the mandatory STCW safety training.
This is a practical course that covers 2 modules:
1. Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FP&FF) 1 day
To maintain the required standard utilizing hoses and extinguishers and the correct use of breathing apparatus for fire-fighting and search and rescue operations.
2. Personal Survival Techniques (PST) 1/2 day
Correct use when donning of a life-jacket, use of an immersion suite, jump from height into the water, swim while wearing a lifejacket, keep afloat without a life jacket, right and inverted life-raft, board a survival craft from the water when wearing a life jacket.
Dates: January 31st & February 1st, 2018
Accreditation: Marshall Islands
Pre-requisites: Must supply copies of previous certificates to allow updates.
Duration: 2 days
Cost: 710€ per person (VAT Excluded)
